THE STORY

Terrene is more than just a restaurant but a reminder that small ideas can really snowball. While in most cases that's a negative, in this case it's a positive. And the hope is that the snow ball keeps on rolling.

It all began when Kim and Josh Haugh would discuss food and business, and how the two could go hand-in-hand. Kim was craving a really good salad that satisfied her hunger without guilt. She found that salad. And at the same time the idea that would launch a food truck and then Terrene. It has been a labor of love for the couple, but it's been more love than anything else.

Why "Terrene"? It means "From the Earth". It's the perfect statement for the restaurant's food and how it is made. It's also a reminder that despite our differences we're all from the Earth and therefore should be one with our planet, our food, and each other.

WHERE WE BEGAN

In 2016 Chop Shop Salad Shop was founded. Our food truck covered many miles around Pittsburgh. We had the pleasure of serving up our signature chopped salads to many who gave us the confidence to keep pushing on.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

After searching for a space to call our own, we found a home at Station Square. Our menu has grown and needless to say, we have a bit more kitchen space. Our food truck now operates as Terrene for special events.

While our team has grown since our food truck days, we remain a small yet mighty team. We're a tight-knit group that believes in one another and the work that we put into our food. We're passionate about it's quality and taste, but most importantly, we put our guests first, always going the extra mile to satisfy every person who chooses to dine with us. And that begins with a great team that pulls through for one another and believes in getting the job done.
